Hong Kong

Homeland

Hong Kong, as well known for being an international financial hub and food paradise, is actually a natural heaven too. Hosting more than 540 bird species and more than 1 000 marine fish species, this biodiversity of this bustling city is surprisingly high. Different ecosystems like freshwater streams, estuary, rocky and sandy shores, secondary forest can all be found on this 1 106 sq km land. Situated at the heart of East Asian-Australasian Flyway of 50 million migratory waterbirds, Mai Po Nature Reserve in Hong Kong is designated as a RAMSAR site which recognises the importance of Hong Kong in nature conservation. Come and visit Hong Kong-my homeland!
